The Top Producing and Award Winning Team of Larry and Kitty Powers has been serving buyers and sellers since 1987. Kitty, born in San Francisco, California, became a Realtor and joined Gateway Realty in 1987. Larry, whose family moved to California from Boston in 1963, is Vietnam Veteran, honorably discharged from the U. S. Navy in 1972. Larry joined Kitty and Gateway Realty as a Realtor in 1997. They met in 1977 and married in 1978. Hobbies they enjoy together include golf, bowling and riding the Harley Davidson. As similar and as best friends as they are, they both bring different attributes to the Team. Kitty handles much of the administrative and marketing aspects of their business and Larry brings his extraordinary abilities with technology and computers. They are both “people persons” and have a loyal list of friends and past clients.

Larry and Kitty utilize the cutting edge in technology in accessing information not only through the Multiple Listing Services but they are inter and intra-linked with national sales data. In 2005, they implemented the WinForms system whereby clients may complete much of the paperwork involved in the purchase/sale of real estate through the Internet, including signing legal documents. As of 2006, their clients have access to all documents involved in their purchase/sale through Transaction Point.

Larry and Kitty employ an Escrow Coordinator to assist in dotting the "i"'s and crossing the "t's", as well as guiding clients through the intricate process of disclosures, inspections and time frames. They also employ a Listing Coordinator who assists in placement of For Sale signs, lock boxes, flyers and follow-up at listed properties. Every time a home is listed or sold, neighbors are notified immediately, color flyers on listings are produced, newspaper advertising is ordered and the internet is notified. Gateway Homes For You magazine is delivered to 40,000 homes via local Solano County newspapers and another 30,000 copies are regularly distributed through racks with Solano County as well as adjoining counties.

Through Gateway Realty, Larry and Kitty have access to the Relocation Division, Gateway Insurance Services, Solano Property Management and Premiere Commercial Real Estate. Gateway Realty has two Managing Brokers, one of which is an attorney.

Larry and Kitty have a very large number of happy customers and a strong client base through which to market properties for their sellers and to access new listings for their buyers. Over 80 percent of their combined business in 2005 was generated through past clients and referrals.
